In their last semester before Chris moved to Tracy, Maria stumbled across Dana’s Instagram post offering a free photography session, which would later become a memory that held a special place in their hearts—a documented memory of young love.
Over the years, Maria and Chris tackled long-distance, reunions, and even the early pandemic days, growing stronger with each chapter. When Chris proposed during Christmas in their first home, surrounded by loved ones, Maria knew their journey would keep unfolding in ways that were uniquely theirs.
Elopement Day
When it came to their wedding, they decided that an intimate elopement would allow them to focus on what mattered most: their commitment to each other. Reflecting on this, Maria shared, “From the beginning Dana was not only a photographer, but a guide on something that requires so many details! She gave us tips on how to tackle the day, what to wear, travel, etc. our day wouldn’t have gone as smooth as it did, if it wasn’t for her.”
Their wedding day began at the grandeur of San Francisco City Hall, where the elegant architecture and soft lighting set the perfect scene. As Maria and Chris exchanged vows in the heart of the city, it felt both monumental and intimate. Their next stop was the Legion of Honor, surrounded by classic architecture and views that stretched across San Francisco. Here, the two shared quiet moments, reflecting on their journey and celebrating a love that had been years in the making.
