A & C’s Love Story
When Audrey and Chris decided to elope, they did it in a way that beautifully captured their love, personalities, and a sense of adventure. From the moment the sun began to rise at Donner Lake Overlook, to the soft waves crashing at China Cove Beach, their day was nothing short of magical. It was a dream that they never even knew they had until the moment it became reality.
A & C’s love story began with a chance meeting at a country concert in 2015. Both attended at the last minute—Audrey fresh out of a breakup, and Chris canceling a date to be there. From exchanging numbers that night to growing their relationship over the years, their bond has been filled with adventure and commitment. In 2021, Chris proposed during a beach trip to Hawaii, and after navigating moves, graduate school, and life’s twists, wedding planning took a backseat as life continued to unfold.
By 2024, A & C made a big decision: they would elope. The idea of planning a large wedding became overwhelming, and in their hearts, an intimate elopement felt like the right choice. With stress out of the picture, they were able to center on what really mattered—each other.
Their sunrise elopement took place at the breathtaking Donner Lake Overlook and continued at China Cove Beach, where the peaceful setting gave them the perfect space to simply be together. Surrounded by nature’s beauty, they shared many sweet moments together. Reflecting on the day, Audrey shared, “Our elopement experience was beautiful and truly the highlight of our trip. Everything went smoothly, and the entire day was stress-free. Dana was incredibly professional throughout the whole process, and we couldn’t have asked for a better photographer.”
Though they were initially nervous about taking photos, A & C quickly found their groove, thanks to thoughtful guidance that made them feel at ease in front of the camera. They were blown away by the photos, especially the candid moments that captured the raw emotion of their day. For the couple, eloping wasn’t just about avoiding the pressure of planning a large wedding—it was about embracing simplicity, focusing on their love, and creating lasting memories.
